Terms of Service
Last updated July 19, 2026
These terms govern your use of Fiscalance, a tool that helps freelancers and one-person companies (SASU/EURL or micro-entreprise) model tax-optimization scenarios. By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to these terms.
What Fiscalance is
Fiscalance lets you enter figures about your business (revenue, expenses, salary, dividends and similar) and shows a ranked list of legal optimizations, together with an estimate of the euros involved for your situation.
Not tax advice
Fiscalance produces estimates and general scenarios based on the figures you provide and on French tax rules as we understand them at the time. It is not personal tax, legal or financial advice, and it does not replace your accountant or a qualified advisor. Rules, rates and thresholds change; always confirm your specific situation with a qualified professional before acting on anything shown in the app.
We make reasonable efforts to keep the underlying rules current, but we do not guarantee that every figure is accurate, complete or up to date for your circumstances, and we are not liable for decisions made solely on the basis of the app's output.
Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and let us know if you suspect unauthorized access.
Subscription and billing
Fiscalance offers a free tier with limited features and a paid plan at €29/month that unlocks the full ranked report, exact salary/dividend split and timing countdowns.
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal (“Manage billing” on your Account page); cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. We do not offer partial refunds for unused time within a billing period unless required by law.
Prices may change; we will give reasonable notice before any change takes effect for existing subscribers.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service: no attempts to bypass paywalls or rate limits, no scraping or automated abuse of the API, and no using the service for unlawful purposes.
Intellectual property
The Fiscalance name, software, design and content (including the news articles) belong to us or our licensors. You keep ownership of the business figures you enter; we use them only to provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fiscalance and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or tax consequences arising from decisions based on the app's estimates. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under French law, such as liability for fraud or gross negligence.
Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from the Account page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe pose a security risk.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be submitted to the competent French courts having jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
