About Fiscalance
Fiscalance is a tax-optimization tool for freelancers who bill through their own one-person company in France. You enter your numbers once and get the legal levers that apply to you, ranked by what each is worth this year in euros: what to do, what you already capture, and what you are still missing.
Alongside it: free calculators that each answer one question, a dated log of rule changes, and articles in plain language.
See the free calculatorsHow the figures are computed
The tax rules are kept as versioned data, not scattered through the code. Each market has a rule set for the tax year it models — its rates, brackets, ceilings and thresholds — with the date it was last checked against primary sources.
The optimizer and every free calculator run on that same engine, so a figure is the same wherever you meet it: on a calculator page, in a widget embedded on another site, or in your report. Each result states the tax year and the verification date it was computed under.
| Market | Tax year | Last verified |
|---|---|---|
| Belgium | 2026 | |
| Netherlands | 2026 | |
| France | 2026 |
Where the rules come from
Every rule is sourced, and the source is named: the official publication where there is one — legislation, the tax administration, the social-security body — and otherwise the published guidance of accountancy firms and social-security funds. Each lever in a report prints its source and tax year beside its figure. Each calculator lists the rates it used with the date they were verified, and marks any figure that is a modelling assumption rather than published law.
When a rule changes, the change is logged with the date it applies from and the source that established it.

Fiscalance gives estimates and scenarios, not tax advice. It files nothing on your behalf and has no contact with the tax authorities. Confirm a figure with your accountant before you act on it — the report is built to be handed to them.
Your figures
Without an account, the figures you enter stay in your browser. They reach our server only if you save them to an account, share or email a report, or allow us to record them.

Write to us. If a figure is wrong, we correct it and record the correction in the rule-change log.
