Net salary

What actually lands in your account after social contributions and personal tax are taken off your gross salary.

Net salary is your gross director salary minus social contributions and personal income tax (including the municipal surcharge). Together with net dividend and any tax-free fringe benefits, it makes up your total net in pocket.

On the worked example for a freelancer in Belgium with €115,500 of revenue, this line comes to €19,811.
